The editor cannot be opened

I recently created a new model in SPLS, saved the project, closed it and now I cannot open the model I was working on. I am getting an error message that reads, "The editor cannot be opened. The file could not be opened. The editor will now be closed." It looks like I will need to build my model all over again. Can someone please assist me with this issue? Thank you!
