Second and higher order constructs
The software is great, it would be more so if there was provision for second and higher order constructs.

Hi,
we created such a function but did not release this one-click-functionality.
First, it is extremely easy to build second order models using SmartPLS.
Second, such a standard functionality might give the impression that this kind of model is appropriate for PLS path modeling. Which is not! Only in some rare cases.

second order construct
Many models require second order constructs. Why would it not be appropriate for models? In any case it is the discreetion of the users, is it not? I would definitely like to see this one feature in smartPLS

Well, we do not like to give the impression that this is a standard procedure for PLS path modeling that can be used without deeper methodological reflection. In any case it is the discreetion of the users, is it not? I would definitely like to see this one feature in smartPLS
However, this kind of modeling is possible with the functionalities provided in SmartPLS.
A user who likes to estimate such models can go straight ahead - it's really no problem and it's very easy!

second order constructs
How do you suggest I do the second order construct model. I am trying to verify some second order models in supply chain management.

As quoted above, this topic has been discussed for a while in this forum...
Just use the search function (it is very easy to use)...
This link answers your question...
