Sample size and outer loading

Post by Viet_UEB_VNU »

Hi everybody,

I'm new to SmartPLS, I have a question: does sample size affect the Outer loading index?
I have built a structure of 16 variables and I have about 16 observations from the survey so far. When I finished the test calculation, the Outer loading of most indicators appeared in red. Is it because my sample size is too small or are there problems with these indicators and structures?
Should I continue surveying to increase the sample size and hope it goes green?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

No sample size does not affect the outer loadings, but a sample of just 16 observations might not be enough to reliably identify the coefficients because there is too much uncertainty about the estimates.
