reordering variables in discriminate validity etc

Questions about the implementation and application of the PLS-SEM method, that are not related to the usage of the SmartPLS software.

reordering variables in discriminate validity etc

Post by smills »

Hi All,

I am still new to SmartPLS so forgive me if this is easy to answer but I can't find a way to reorder the variables and how it constructs the FL and HTMT correlation matrices. It picks some weird orders that aren't useful for me. Is there a way to reorder them? Also is there a way to work out if the correlation are significant (at 5% or 1%)? Sorry if it is an easy answer.

Thanks, Stuart

If you do bootstrapping and choose the option "Complete" you will get confidence intervals etc. for both HTMT and latent variable correlations.

The usual order is by name following the alphabet. That is not so weird as it sounds :-)
If you want to reorder them you can use different names for the report (for example place a number in front of each construct to define a different order).

Brilliant! Thank you Dr Becker!

Is there a way to work out the significance at the 5% level?

Cheers, Stu
