Testing Predictive Validity of New Constructs in SPSS, SmartPLS, or AMOS

Predictive validity is a Criterion-related Validity. In criteria-related validity, we check the performance of our operationalization against some criterion.
We usually make a prediction about how the operationalization will perform based on our theory of the construct.
The researcher is primarily interested in some criterion which he wishes to predict. He administers the test, obtains an independent criterion measure on the same subjects and conduct statistical analysis.
Psychologists and organizational researchers usually correlate new traits with external criterion/ independent index such as psycho-physiological functioning, job performance or employee behaviour, to establish predictive validity of new traits (Matthews et al., 2009; Niessen et al., 2018).
