Moderation analyses in a two-stage approach with dummy

Dear all,
I have been running a PLS model based on UTAUT theory. I have two questions:
1) I want to use age as a moderator with two categories (1=under 45 years) (0=older than 45). What is the correct setting for the product term generation for the two stage approach? Standardized, mean-centered, or unstandardized?
2) I want to use a two-step approach. Is it necessary to run the model without moderators first to interpret the direct effect of the exogenous variables on the endogenous variables or can I use values from the model with moderator effects for the interpretation?
