The best way to represent the indicators in SmartPLS?
Dear Sir,
Thanks a lot for this software.
I worked with your application and it is a very useful!
Now, i want to apply it on my research survey results, but i have some uncertain points.
1-I have some questions (Strongly Disagree = 1,Disagree=2, Natural=3, Agree=4,Strongly Agree=5) , now is it OK to get the average result for all answers for same question and use it as an indicators.
ex: the AVE is 4.33 for total answers for question number 3.
2-Some questions like above but with more option which is N/A. Now how can i exclude the N/A answers from answers. Is It OK to put its value as zero.
3-Some questions options are (Strongly Disagree = 5,Disagree=4, Natural=3, Agree=2,Strongly Agree=1). In the imported data, can i change Strongly Disagree with 5 . or i have to leave it as point 1 above.
Thanks and BR,

Dear All,
I have the following questions:
I use the above application / e-Government service for my business activities very frequently (many times per day).
None
1-2
3-5
6-20
over 20
On average, how frequently do you use the application / e-Government service for your work activities ?
Once a year
Two or three times a year
Monthly
Daily
Before that i asked the respondents to select one service from the list.
Now for some eGov services you can't use it more than once yearly and for some of them it is OK to use it daily.
So, what is the best way to represent it in the smartPLS data import.
Regards,

Thanks a lot Hengky.Hengkov wrote:Hello,
1. No average, but used original data.
2. Yes, no problem. This is dummy variable (cannot evaluation outer model).
3. No, this is negative question, so right you score OK.
Best Regards,
Hengky
Please correct me if i am wrong.
1. No average, but used original data.
if i have 5 answers so i have to import all 5 answers for same question. not one answer as an average !
2. Yes, no problem. This is dummy variable (cannot evaluation outer model).
it means i can replace N/A with zero.
3. No, this is negative question, so right you score OK.
Did you mean the following score:(Strongly Disagree = 5,Disagree=4, Natural=3, Agree=2,Strongly Agree=1)? Or the first one?

Hi,
1. Why one question result five answer (I know one respondent have one answer)? It's mean you just have 5 respondent/sample (If yes, very small sample and not enough for ran PLS)?
2. What your mean N/A = 0, please enter example question.
3. Your read the question, positive or negative? If negative you follow the score or If positive you used first one score OK (I not see your question, so I don't know positive/negative).
Regards,
Hengky

1-i have 37 respondents. is it enough?
2- N/A : Not Applicable . and the question options as the following :
(Strongly Disagree,Disagree, Natural, Agree,Strongly Agree,N/A)

3-Yes it is negative.
Kindly, read the below quote and how can i represent such questions:

Thanks a lot again and again.
Regarding N/A, some services that i evaluate are not applicable but for some are applicable.
So, can i put it as blank or missing value.
what is the suitable number of respondent for the below model
Moreover , if there is an object which affects three objects(ex:new_5 on new_6,new_7, and new_8) ,so, it will reduce AVE value like the below image.
And if it is not, did you think the problem from number of respondents?
