I am currently dealing with the measurement of a higher order construct (website qualität).
In literature, there exist 4 types of how a higher order construct can be measured. I intend to go for the measurement type II, which propose the following measurement:
The higher order construct is formatively measured.
The first order construct are reflectively measured.
Now the question is: Can I measure the first order construct both reflective and formative (i.e. I have 8 first oder constructs, 4 will be measured reflectively, 4 will be measured formatively). Does this still work with PLS?
