How to calculate the P-values for indirect effects?

Post by Mrx »

Hello,

I have searched everywhere and read chapters of the SmartPLS 2014 book. Still, I can't figure out how to calculate tp value for indirect effects? I know the indirect effects but how to get the T values of them? After that I can use the Tdist function in excel and calculate the p-values?

Could someone give me a detailed explanation how to do this? I would really need it in order to finally complete my master's thesis.

Help is really much appreciated!

Thanks

SmartPLS 3 gives p-values for total and specific indirect effects.

I think the following paper also explains how to do this manually in Excel: Nitzl, C./Roldán, J./Cepeda, G. (2016): Mediation Analyses in Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling: Helping Researchers to Discuss More Sophisticated Models, in: Industrial Management & Data Systems, Vol. 116, No. 9, pp. 1849-1864.
