factor loading vs. outer loading

Post by kanpapak »

Hi,

I am a newby for SmartPLS. My model have both reflective and formative construct and I would like to use SmartPLS for my

research.

I used SPSS and got reliability of factor "A" = 0.8546.
I used SmartPLS and got reliability of factor "A" = 0.857990.

From SmartPLS results of outer loadings, some loadings of the indicators of factor "A" = 0.647992, 0.096397,0.621452,

0.513190, -0.6085818.

From SPSS output, I got factor Loadings of factor "A" = 0.778240752 0.713423689 0.861284615 0.789972474 0.725870763.

From SmartPLS results Composite Reliability = 0.451029 and AVE = 0.217223.
I have no composite reliability from spss.

My questions are below:

1) What should I do for factor "A" or indicators of factor "A" ?
2) How can I report factor "A" from SmartPLS results?
3) Why factor loadings are different?

I supposed that I got the same result and the differences in factor loadings are not important.

I run PLS Algorithm and did not change default settings. It still be path weighting scheme , mean 0, var 1, maximum iteration

= 300, initial weight = 1.0. Am I wrong?

thank you very much.
