Multi-group analysis with firm size

Hi,
I have firm size as a control variable in the structural model. (latent variable with single-indicator)
Can I still conduct multi-group analysis based on firm size (big/small firms)?
In general terms, is there any problems if the explanatory variable for the multi-group analysis is allready in the model?
