Hai
I have two second order LVs - a reflective-formative and a reflective-reflective. I understand that a repeated indicator approach would work for the latter but that a mixture of the repeated indicator and 2-stage approaches is appropriate for the reflective-formative one. In this case, I calculate the LV scores for the lower order constructs in the first stage (using repeated indicators) and then use those scores as the indicators for my second order construct in the second stage.
My question is, given that I've two types of hierarchical models, in the second stage, do I use the LV of the second order construct as the indicator for the reflective-reflective model or do I use the mixed approach here as well (that is, the second order construct will use the indicators of the first order construct)?
A quick reply would be immensely helpful for me. It is quite urgent.
Thanks a lot in advance.
