I was wondering are there any basic differences between SmartPLS dan PLS Graph developed by Prof. Chin
Yes and no
Regarding the calculation outcomes that are generated by SmartPLS and PLS Graph, there are no differences between these applications.
The major difference between SmartPLS and PLS Graph lies in the software architecture. SmartPLS is built upon a state of the art Java architecture that has been designed to ensure the extendability of the software. Over a plugin mechanism, it is quite simple to enrich SmartPLS with new features.
The reason for designing an extendable software platform was to speed up the development of the PLS methodology by giving the possibility to integrate new PLS ideas into an existing software to make these ideas accessible to interested researchers.
