Collinearity Statistics (VIF) in Second-Order Models

Post by Alex98 »

Hello everyone,

I am currently using SmartPLS to calculate a reflective-formative model. I have been using the following link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VX9hpWlEBk&t=1106s) as a guide and everything worked perfectly until I checked for collinearity, and I end up with 9 values out 22 with a VIF > 5, which would cause to eliminate certain constructs altogether since every indicator of some constructs is above 5.

Do you have any recommendations as to how to go about this? I've been searching the Internet but can't seem to find an answer to my problem.

Thanks to everybody who will answer!
