SmartPLS 4 app not opening, repeatedly gives error message

Been using SmartPLS 4 for approximately 4 months on a Macbook Air with no issues. I was prompted about a Software update when I launched SmartPLS yesterday when I reached the landing page. Once the update was installed I tried to launch the app but got an error message saying SmartPLS closed unexpectedly and I should click reopen to launch it. But it doesn't open, instead, it keeps cycling back to the same error message. I restarted the computer several times, uninstalled the SmartPLS app, and downloaded a new installer MULTIPLE times but I am basically stuck on the same error message every time. No progress. Error message below:
