Can here anyone tell me why sometimes the path coefficient is a negative number? what is the difference between positive and negative?

The meaning is the same as a standardized regression coefficient (beta),
NEGATIVE PATH:
if the independent variable increase a unit,
the dependent variable will decrease that value (of path).
POSITIVE PATH:
if the independent variable increase a unit,
the dependent variable will increase that value (of path).
