Hello,
I am a dependent construct with few Formative indicators and few Reflective Indicators. The arrows of formative ones should start from formative ones and point to the latent. And the arrows of the reflective ones should start from the latent and point to reflective ones.
I have difficult to do that since SmartPLS change all of them every time if I click the Invert Measurement Model function.
Could you please advice what to do with the work?
Thank you for your time.

Hi,
you cannot mix directions in a certain block. Latent varriables are either determined by mode A (reflective) or mode B (formative).
Best Christian

Multi indicators and multi Causes Model
Dr. Christian M. Ringle:
Thank you for your advice.
But AMOS 5 supports the same latent with Mode A plus Mode B. Also, I know professors published articles about those Multi Indicators and Multi Causes Effects Model in top A Marketing journal recently.
SmartPLS 2.0 does not support that, does it?
Thanks again for your time.

Re: Multi indicators and multi Causes Model
Hi,
in LISREL or AMOS (covariance based) the indicators are reflective (outward), but in PLS they could be refletive or formative (inward).
When using AMOS for MIMIC we have a LV (reflective indicators or effect indicators) with others variables linked as causes.
When using PLS we can have two LV (cause and effect).
For details, see:
FORNELL, Claes; BOOKSTEIN, Fred L. Two structural equation models: LISREL and PLS applied to consumer exit-voice theory. Journal of marketing research. nov. 1992, v. 19, n. 4, p. 440-452.
Best regards
