Dear all,

I just started working with SmartPLS for my thesis on technology acceptance.

Before beginning with pls I loaded the data into SPSS to see some descriptives, reliability etc. and some statistics differ substantially.
For instance, one LV (consisting of five items, (as I'm still used to calling indicators)) had a Cronbach's alpha of .821 in SPSS and in SmartPLS an alpha of .999 (!!). How is that possible?

Also, what does it mean when the path/arrow from a LV to an indicator has 1,000 above it. It seems to happen a lot in my model.

I was quite confident when I saw some good reliability statistics and an initial R-Square of .6 in SPPS but the same model looks too extreme in SmartPLS (R-Square>.9) so I'm worried I did something wrong here :(

If someone could help me a step further that would be great !!!
