Questions about the implementation and application of the PLS-SEM method, that are not related to the usage of the SmartPLS software.

Total effects and their interpretation

Post by capabra »

Hi

I am rencently using Smart PLS to test a Model in which my dependet variable is influenced by several endogenous, exogenous contructs, and demographic variables . I do not know how to interpret the reported total effects. Are there really important to be reported in my work? Is it enough if I report and interpret just the main effects? I have checked in my model that the reported paths in some cases change when comparing the main and total effects.

I would really appretiate if I get some help reagarding my doubts.
