coefficient of a predictor in conj. with moderating effect

Post by gouvaneur »

Dear all,

I ran a PLS analysis first without a moderator. the predictor achieved a regression coefficient of 0.388 with regard to the dependent variable.
then, I included a moderator within this relationship and achieve a regression coefficient of .0957 for the predictor (almost perfect prediction?!).
I entered the data in spss and ran a regression analysis to confirm this result. however, the analysis showed a regression coefficient of 0.4.
I calculated the moderating effect in PLS according to your instruction. Do you have any idea what the problem might be that results are not confirmed in SPSS?

Thanks a lot for your help,
regards,
