Dear all,
I am dealing with the following issue. Some constructs in the questionnaire were measured with the 7-point Likert scale and some with the 5-point one. As I am doing PLS-SEM analysis of the data in SmartPLS, are there any additional steps to take to account for this difference?
I have seen similar posts but none of them included a definite answer.
Hope someone can help this time.
Thank you!

Re: Different constructs measured 5 and 7 point Likert scale in one model
This is not a problem as the indicator data is routinely standardized in PLS. Differences due to the scale should therefore diminish.
The only problem could be that indicators with different scale have different variance (standard deviations) and if used in the same construct’s measurement model might be less important (smaller weights) than they actually are. However, if you have different scales only for different constructs then it is really not a problem at all.
