I just saw that the latest smartPLS version (3.1.7) now has this feature. great :)
(you can select the weighting vector in the run-dialogue in a new tab called "Weighting").
Is there any documentation of how exactly the weighting is done or are there any papers that describe these procedures? Would be nice to get some additional information or is it okay to point to general literature about weighting data?

Re: weighted data
Yes, it is one of the new features of 3.1.7.
There is no published paper yet, but we are working on it and there should be one in the near future (at least a conference paper).
