Effect size and predictive relevance

Post by asifyaseen »

Can anyone explain how to calculate effect size f2 and q2=0.35.
I have read paper and understand theory but just to make clear concept, please explain it through one example if possible

Hi,

f^2 and q^2 or R^2 and Q^2 is similar. f^2 is partial variance. Example:
If you have two exogenous construct connect to one endogenous and result R^2 = 0.486.
We assume f^2 each exogenous construct is 0.35 and 0.136. Sum f^2 = R^2 and if you have one predictor, f^2 = R^2.
