Which methodologies to treat missing values are most appropriate for PLS path modeling? Are there any upper bounds (e.g. 40% missing values in a data set) for the use of such procedures?

Hi Christian,

I think SmartPLS need new feature for dealing missing value such multiple imputation for complete pairwise and casewise deletion. ;-)

Casewise or mean replacement algorithm

Hello,

On my current study I'd rather use the mean replacement of missing the mean values rather than casewise. However, I read in a presentation by Joe Hair (2012) than bootstrapping draws sample with replacement.
In this case, there is no need to subtract rows with missing values and it keeps a number of cases and a maximum variance.

I’m finally got a little bit lost in the choice of algorithm for handling missing values.

I have no reason to doubt writes Joe Hair.
Could you please tell me if the bootstrapping invalidates the replacement of missing values by the mean ?
In this case, how this fonctionnality of bootstapping works ?

Thank you in advance,
