How to run a null model?

Questions about the implementation and application of the PLS-SEM method, that are not related to the usage of the SmartPLS software.

How to run a null model?

Post by GDAVE »

Greetings,

I am a new user of SmartPLS and want to run a null model, in which no structural relationships are included. When I try to run the model, the system displays a message "there must be a valid pathmodel for calculation".

I will appreciate any help in letting me know if it is possible, and how to run a null model using smartPLS.

Thanks

Hi George,
it is not possible to run this kind of model in PLS.

One idea: LV without structural relations = principal component

- run PC in SPSS or
- a model with a LV connected to itself LV1 --> LV1 (same results of the PC)

Best regards.
