how many sample need to order to do pls ?
Hi
In PLS-SEM,
1st option: 10 times rule in which 10 times the largest number of arrow at LV in path model.
2nd option: G*Power program, http://www.gpower.hhu.de/

Hi All,
When using G*Power to calculate sample size, power and/or effect, what Test Family and Statistical Test should be selected?
Many thanks.

Check the example in the PLS-SEM book:
Hair, Joseph F., Hult, G. Tomas M., Ringle, Christian M., & Sarstedt, Marko. (2014). A primer on partial least squares structural equation modeling (pls-sem). Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage.

Re: how many sample need to order to do pls ?
Hi,
New formula for compute sample size in PLS N > ( 2.48 / Abs(bm) ) ^ 2
Where Abs(bm) is the absolute value of the path coefficient with the minimum expected magnitude in the model.
Best regards,

Hi Hengkov,
Thanks for this, is there a reference I can quote when using it?

it all comes back to the variability of your population as well your level of complexity in your model. Small effects might require more power to reveal
