SmartPLS and levels of analysis

Hi,
I would like to test a two-level model with industry at the higher level and firms nested within industry. I'm interested in how industry characteristics moderate relationships between independent and dependent firm-level variables. Packages such as HLM and LISREL do this. I suspect SmartPLS won't (is this correct?). Is it legitimate to use SmartPLS to calculate firm-level latent scores and then input these to a program such as HLM which can handle cross-level interactions? Thanks.
