Univariate and Multivariate Normality in PLS

Hello, All

I am finding your good suggestion on data, normal or non-normal distribution in PLS.

Please give me a tip for following questions:

1. How to report normal or non-normal distribution of data in PLS ?

2. Which tool is a good to use for calculating univariate and multivariate normality ?

3. In PLS literatures, Do they follow the assumption of Normality ? In real, it is hard to follow its rule.

Please anyone show your thinking and relevant references.

Best regards,

Ken

Hi,

1 and 2)
Univariate: histogram + Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.
Multivariate: PK-Mardia test

3) PLS-PM hasn't this assumption, it is nonparametric (based on boostrap).

best regards,

Bido
