Dear all,

I have a formative construct (i.e., Efficacy) in my model.
I propose that another reflective construct Movtivation has a direct relationship with Efficacy. Is this OK?
I was told that, if you have a formative construct in your model, you should not have any direct structural path pointing to the formative construct.

Can anyone clarify me?

For the direction relationship you need to check other scholars works to find support for your hypothesis.
No! You can have any direct structural path pointing to the formative construct and vice versa.
