Polynomial regressions (how to)

Questions about the implementation and application of the PLS-SEM method, that are not related to the usage of the SmartPLS software.

Polynomial regressions (how to)

Post by jfefb »

Hello,
To measure value congruence, Edwards (1991, 1994) suggests to use polynomial regressions.
The formula to mesure the congruence between values Ac ( creativity of the group A) and Ac' (creativity of the group A') is:
value Ac + value Ac' + (Value Ac)² + (value Ac')² + value Ac*value Ac'
Now, suppose you have two groups that have the same 6 values.
You want to measure the values congruence beween these two groups.
Then your latent variable "congruence" is composed by 30 items.
First question: do you know if SmartPLS support polynomial regression (It should, but ...?)
Second question: What is the maximum item number per latent variable in a SmartPLS structural model ?
Thanks a lot for your help
