A Singular Matrix Problem

Post by Ng11 »

Dear all,

I am a newbie to PLS and I am experiencing an issue when using Smart PLS.
I have two sets of data, Set A and Set B. Both data consist of 9 latent variables and a sample size of 29.
Previously, I have tried running the data using Smart PLS Version 2.0 and it was able to run smoothly with both sets of data.
Currently, I have tried running the data using Smart PLS Version 3.2.9 but unfortunately Set A data is having "A Singular Matrix Problem" whereas Set B does not have this kind of problem and is able to run a PLS algorithm calculation.
I am aware that this could be due to the sample size is too small but I am wondering why I was able to run in older version of Smart PLS but unable to run with the latest version of Smart PLS.
Could anyone guide me or advice me regarding this issue?
Thank you.

Best regards,
