Hello everyone,

I am currently analysing on the IPMA. The results of the performance are in the range of 65 - 71. I like to know how to interpret the findings. How to identify if the importance - performance is high or low? Do they have any value indications of low and high values?

Construct A = importance (0.340) performance (65.303)
Construct B = importance (0.007) performance (66.036)
Construct C =importance (0.581) performance (69.086)
Construct D = importance (0.251) performance (71.102)

Performance ranges from 0 to 100. Values around 65 - 71 are therefore medium to high. Importances are standardized regression coefficients. They usuall range between 0 and 1 (but can also exceed 1 in some situtaions, for example, in cases of large collinearity).

The interesting aspect of IPMA is the relative comparison of constructs performance and importance.
Construct B has a lower performance than C & D, but it is also of minor importance (hence no problem).
Construct A has also a lower performance than D, but has similarly high importance (should be improved).
Construct C has the highest importance and also quite high performance (which is good, but of course, can also be improved).

IPMA is something to add some mangement implication to your research. What has a high impact and should be prioritized and what is already quite good.

Dear Professor,
Thank you for this clear explanation. However, in my analysis, there are some variables that resulted in relatively low importance but high-performance levels. How could we interpret these variables to provide recommendations?
