is communality equal to AVE?

I read an article which mentioned that average communality is equal to average AVE. So therefore in order to measure GOF = root (average AVE x average R^) instead of root (average communality x average R^2) as proposed by tennehaus (2004, 2005). Could some of you explain this and give me references for this matter.
