I have a path model with a small but significant path coefficient (-0.180). But when it comes to effect sizes (f2 = 0.034) it is coming up as insignificant.
Does this make sense? I am concerned I may have done something wrong?
Could someone please explain this to me?

Path coefficient and effect size measure something slightly different. You might have an effect in terms of significant regression coefficient, but compared with the other predictors might not explain much additional variance with the focal predictor.
Generally, I think there is not much research on significance of effect sizes and situations in which the results are expected to match the results from path coefficients and situations in which they don't.
