How to Add/Measure Error in Model

Post by Erwin »

Dear All,

Referring to Add Error Term topic. How to Measure Error in a Model?
For example, I have equations for inner model:
η1 = 0,613 ξ1 + 0,201 ξ2, R2 = 0,804
η2 = 0,215 η1+ 0,451 ξ1 + 0,795 ξ2, R2 = 0,807
How do I measure the error in a model (ς) in PLS? Thank you.

Regards,

Erwin

In the inner (structural) model PLS performs a regression on the latent variable scores. If you transfer the LV Scores in any other statistics tool and calculate a regression on them, you should get the same results. Thus, the error in the inner model is a regression error term when regressing the LV scores onto each other.
