negative outer loadings

Post by Ingrid Snijders » Sat Jul 02, 2016 2:37 pm

Hello, what does an indicator's negative outer loading imply? How to interpret and how to follow rules of thumb such as the threshold value of .60 (exploratory research)

Hi Ingrid,

could be that the scale of the indicators is reversed (e. g. all scales from 1 = good to 5= bad, and for those negative ones (5=good, and 1 = bad) or that you are having problems with multicollinarity (use the forum's search for that topic).

hope that helps!
Jan
