Three Way Interaction and T values

Questions about the implementation and application of the PLS-SEM method, that are not related to the usage of the SmartPLS software.

Three Way Interaction and T values

Post by lshi »

I wonder if anybody knows how to handle a three way interaction in smartPLS.

I clicked the DV, selected the interaction option, chose two moderators and one predictor (or vice verse), but PLS only shows a two way interaction. It seems to me three way interaction does not work in smartPLS.

I also wonder how I can find the t values for path coefficients and factor loadings. In my default report and the model diagram, I cannot find T values. Thank you very much.

Hi Linda,

I also tried this some time ago and I think you are right, the automatic creation of interaction terms in Smart-PLS is restricted to 2-way-interactions. But this does not hinder you in creating it manually (which by the way is quite annoying when using the product-indicator-approach because of the large number of combinations). Maybe using the two-stage-approach is more feasible...

Best regards, Stephan

Stephan:

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know how to find the T values for the loadings and path coefficients in smartPLS?

Thank you again.

All the best.
