I don't know if smartpls can deal with weighted data.

If can't, I really hope that you can add this function.

I agree: weighting data would be very useful.

This is a critical feature as much survey and social sciences data requires weighting.

Yes I agree this would be a very important feature from a practitioner perspective ad well.

Most definitely, particularly for multinational research or for applications in categories where you have to oversample to capture a particular specialty (e.g. physicians)

I've received a suggestion from a reviewer to either use weights or to split the same (which is already not too large). I would really appreciate weighing in smartPLS.

I agree that this would be a very useful addition. The ability to handle weighted data is critical for many research projects in the social sciences.

We are working on this topic and we have a preliminary version running for the PLS algorithm. However, it gets complicated in combination with some of the other algorithms and we do not want to release it in a premature stage,

Really would support the use of weighting of cases. Most studies I do require weights...
