FIMIX path coefficients larger one

Dear Prof. Ringle,

1) could you give some guidance when segment sizes can be considered too small or models too complex? I have experienced the problem with path coefficients larger than one/smaller than minus one in a dataset with more than 500 cases. The smallest segment still had more than 100 members. The modell contains 8 latent variables with 3-6 manifest variables each.

Is there anything a user can do if the problem with path coefficients occurs?

2) Is it still necessary to deduct 1 from path coefficients greater than 1 in PLS3?
