Michelle makes a point about q2 for complex models; where can I find a citation to justify that with a complex model I cannot apply the q² formula to calcualte the effect size of Q² , specially when you have several dependent variables?

Thanks,

Juan Carlos.

Hi,

I think no problem for calculate effect size and predictive relevance complex models. You can calculate it, but difficult because SmartPLS cannot compute it automatically. Using WarpPLS very easy for compute it. Hope developer SmartPLS for attention it next version.

Hengky

Hengky thanks again!!!

Hi everybody,

did i understand it right, that now in SmartPLS 3 it is possible to look after the effect size (f2) and the cross validated redundancy (Q2) without calculating it by hand?

thanks :)

Can some one help

I am using Smartpls2 for a analysis pertaining to q2 (manual calculations) only. Here I find that SSO for calculating the Q2 is standard 3 times the number of samples. Though I have constructs with both 3 and 4 items. It considers only 3 items for all. But this is not true in SmartPLS3. The constructs with 4 items and 3 items the SSO are different, Why is this?
