When I try to launch SmartPLS 3 I get an error message that says: Failed to create Java Virtual Machine
How can I fix this?

I am having the same problem. Tried to implement the change requested in the FAQ but the amended file does not save and prompts the message 'access denied'.
Any work around this?

Just simple for your problem, run administrator or save as and copy paste again in SmartPLS folder.
