Problem to run PLS Algorithm

Post by Kinku »

When I am trying to run PLS algorithm of my model, I am getting the below message

There are too few case values. There must be at least 2 observations

Can any body please tell me why I am getting the message and how I can solve the problem?

Any help and assistance will be highly appreciated.

Seems, that smartPLS finds less that 2 lines with data in your imported indicator data file (.csv-file).

Have you imported a csv-File with data? (rightclick on project >> import indicator data). The data file should have the column names (=indicator names) in the first line of text and data of each observation in the subsequent lines.

e.g.
age;gender;questionA;question B
37;1;5;5
35;1;4;5
30;0;1;3
29;0;1;1
...

whether you use ; or , or tab so separate values is a matter of taste.

You can check if smartPLS has read your csv file properly by double clicking the icon of the indicator data and click the validate button. smartPLS shows the first 10 observations found.
