Hi,

for two-tail tests and df=999 (considering 1000 samples in the bootstrap), we have:

t > 1.96 = p < 0.05

t > 2.58 = p < 0.01

These values could be computed in Excel or using tables from statistical books.

Best regards,

Bido

Hi all,

wouldn't it be sufficient to use the t-values of one-tailed tests if one tests directed hypotheses?

Carsten, that just depends on your model and what you are trying to test.

Hi all,
I am new in PLS and I'd like to know:

why would we still using the t-value from statistics book? I mean, why would we still use book and calculator when we are computing everything in a modern SmartPLS?
what is the reason behind? is it because PLS allows the researcher to use different level of significance for each variables?

l am anxious to know the answer.
Thx in advanced!

Best Regards, Putri.

I think you are right. Another additional requirement is 2 and 1 tailed test.
