Single & Collective Effect of Multiple Variables in PLS-MGA

Post by anddy »

Hi All,

I have a question about the difference between single effect and collective effect of multiple variables when conducting PLS-MGA. I have three independent variables A, B, C, and one dependent variables. Each of the independent variables has 8, 6 and 9 measurement items respectively. When I compared the relationship between A,B,C and D collectively, the relationship between B and D was not significant and both A and D, and C and D were significant. However, when I analysed the variables separately, all relationships (A --> D, B --> D, and C --> D) were significant. I was wondering any explanations as to how this can be happened?

Cheers,
Andy
