Interaction effects

Post by Choukri »

Hi everyone,

Innovativeness : A moderator
T : A predictor

After conducting a multigroup analysis, using Light consumers and Heavy consumers as subgroups, I got these results

Light consumers
Innovativeness x T → L = 0.099

Heavy consumers
Innovativeness x T → L = -0.092

How to interpret these results.

I will be gratful if you help me

What you are trying to model is a three-way interaction. Doing a multigroup analysis on an interaction is actually a three-way interaction. Hence, Heavy vs Light users affects the interaction of innovativeness with T on L.

Three-way interactions are always a bit challenging to interpret, but here is one possibility:
For light users, higher innovativeness increases the effect of T on L.
For heavy users, higher innovativeness decreases the effects of T on L.
