Confidence Intervals (Bias Corrected)

Post by Choukri »

Hi everyone,

Please I need your help,

I am confused with the last release smartpls v.3.2.1.

How can I use Confidence Intervals (Bias Corrected) to check if the path differences between two groups are significant or not?

I look forward to see your response

Greetings

These two books are good resources to answer your question:

Efron, B., and Tibshirani, R. 1986. "Bootstrap Methods for Standard Errors, Confidence Intervals, and Other Measures of Statistical Accuracy." Statistical Science 1 (1): 54-75.

Davison, A. C., and Hinkley, D. V. 1997. Bootstrap Methods and Their Application. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.

You may also want to take a look at this article:

Henseler, J., Ringle, C. M., and Sinkovics, R. R. 2009. "The Use of Partial Least Squares Path Modeling in International Marketing." In Advances in International Marketing. Eds. R. R. Sinkovics and P. N. Ghauri. Bingley: Emerald 277-320.

Thank you professor for your answer

Is the confidence intervals test an acceptable test in academic research? I mean if I conducted the confidence intervals test, will the results be acceptable to make a publication?

Because I can not use PLS-MGA (SmartPLS 3), because it does not work with models that include continuous moderator variables (PLS-MGA results show just the direct effects). For that I prefered to use the confidence intervals test.

Kind regards

Yes, they are.

Multi-group and moderator analysis at the same time. I have never seen such a PLS-SEM analysis...
