Questions about the implementation and application of the PLS-SEM method, that are not related to the usage of the SmartPLS software.

Equation in SmartPLS

Post by raihanaabdulaziz »

Hello, I want to ask question. In regression using SPSs there are equation Y = a+bX . While in SmartPLS, what is the equation for regression? I use Mediation variable. And I want to ask in Path Coefficient output, there are table Original Sample, Sample Mean, STDev, t-statistic and P value. What does that mean? Thank you.

I think the following paper nicely shows the equations: https://link.springer.com/article/10.10 ... 19-00085-5

However, what you ask about the output has nothing to do with that.
The bootstrapping output shows the original Path Coefficient from the PLS estimation on the original sample, the average estimate over all bootstrapping samples, it standard deviation (which is an estimate of the parameters standard error) and corresponding t and p-values.
