CONTROL VARIABLES PLS

Good morning,
I do not understand how to calculate control variables (such as price, nÂș of clients, etc) in PLS? How do I codify the variables? How do I operate in PLS to get these inputs? Does it differ when operating with higher order constructs?
Thank you very much

You just add the data to you data file and model it as a single-indicator in PLS. You include a path from that single-indicator construct to your dependent construct in the path model to control for the influence of that variable.

And how do I analyze the control variable? In case it is significant, how do I interpret it?

Usually you don't explicitly interpret control variables. That is what distinguishes a control variable from a predictor variable for which you have a hypothesis. You only want to control for potential effects.

Hi. Watch my lecture "Dealing with Control Variables in PLS Path Model using SmartPLS: Path Analysis and Interpretation".
