Network license question

My team members of 2-3 likely would not need to run SmartPLS simultaneously. So a network license where only one at a time can run the program seems like a good option. Will the network license works if one of us runs Windows and the other runs Mac?

Also I know you have to be 'online' when running the software. So it checks the license against your server?

Hi,

I do not think so. Each license key can only be used on one PC. So if you want to use a single license key for all members of your team, it's very unlikely to happen. You need to buy multiple key.

I did find this page (http://www.smartpls.de/faq/network-licenses), which talks about network licenses. And it explains the need for a license server and how one can use theirs or set one up.

But the page doesn't address if different platforms (e.g., Windows, Mac) can use the same network license.
But since the software is checking the key, I'm guessing it could. Just looking for confirmation of that.
