MGA "NullPointerException: null"

Hello.
I am using smartPLS for the first time (smartPLS 3.0 trial period of the Professional version) and I tried to conduct the MGA.
As I have a second order model, I used the 2stage approach and I'm conducting the MGA for the 2nd order variables using the latent variables scores' database. In this database I have the latent variables scores and the variable to create the groups.
Everything looks fine until I run the analysis and when it seems to be finishing ("Assembling output 0%") a red message appears "NullPointerException: null".

I'm running out of time to make this analysis, so could you please tell me, asap, what can causes this and how to solve it?
Thank you so much!

Hello, unfortunately I cannot help you but I have exactly the same problem :(
I have tried different MGAs, but it never works out. Furthermore, I have already installed the newest Java Version.
Please somebody help us?!

There is a small bug with the Basic Bootstrapping option. Please choose the Complete Bootstrapping Option in the Bootstrapping dialog. Then you should not get that error. It will be fixed in the next release, but until then you have to use Complete Bootstrapping Results.

EDIT: This problem is solved since Release 3.2.1

Good evening.
Please, can I ask anyone how I can do a multigroup analysis on Smartpls 3. I'm unable to do this. I only knew the manual working in version 2 using the formula provided in your co-authored book with Joe hair and the Excel link.
My groups are identified by ethnic groups, which I've differentiated with Serial numbers (Group One is S/N 1-413; Group Two is S/N 414-1129).
I'll be grateful for any helps please.

Hi thanks pedromotaveiga,

And this answer is for ita john

"To make multigroup analysis (ex, gender ), double click on your date --> Generate date group --> group column 0 (select gender) then OK.

After identifying the grouping variable, now go to your model, calculate function --> multi group analysis (MGA) --> Group A (select gender_1) and Group B (select gender_2) then at the same funcion go to bootstrapping and select complete bootstrapping --> finely click start calculation.

Greetings"

Dear all,

Although I am working with the V 3.2.6, I have an important problem when I am going to run bootstrap analysis in MGA if i choose Basic Bootstrapping everything is well, however, if I choose Complete Bootstrapping the next message appear nullpointerexception: null.

So I can't run MGA. I think that it is important to say that i have one second-order construct.

Does anyone help me with this problem? I would appreciate a response asap.

Best,

Here, in 3.2.6, you need to switch to "basic" in the bootstrapping option. The issue will be fixed with the next release.
